Dexter Sutton

Dexter is the third child of David H. Sutton and Lucy Wells.   He is born August 31, 1825 in Ohio.  He marries Mary Ann Hanna on Dec 7, 1847.   To this union there five children born.

Reed      1858-1858
Minerva  1859- aft 1910. Married Ambrose Corey 1877


In 1849 along with other residents of Steuben County, Dexter became part owner of the Angola Plank Road Company.  This company was to make a road from Angola on through to the Ohio boarder near Toledo.

There is an issue between Dexter and Luther at sometime and one sues the other. I have yet to get this paperwork.  I will update when I find more.

Dexter died 9 Aug 1898 and is buried at South Scott Cemetery.
Mary Ann died in 1897
